Legal Regulation of Maritime Infrastructure as a Supporting Instrument for International Trade of Marine Commodities in the Blue Economy Era

Abstract

This study examines the legal regulation of maritime infrastructure as a supporting instrument for international trade of marine commodities within the framework of the blue economy. The research employs a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches. The results indicate that regulations related to maritime infrastructure encompass physical, institutional, and environmental aspects, but remain fragmented. Blue economy principles such as sustainability, efficiency, and inclusiveness have begun to be accommodated in national policies, yet their implementation is not optimal. Regulatory harmonization across sectors and institutional strengthening are needed to ensure that maritime infrastructure development supports sustainable marine commodity trade in the blue economy era.
